Fantastic Product
We recently took a two day trip with our beloved hound-thing and two dachshunds. Our hound is thirteen and is no longer steady on his feet so I wanted a device to keep him in the backseat without restricting his movement much, while also restraining him quickly and safely if we had to stop suddenly. This was the perfect answer. He didn't mind the harness, it is padded so it didn't hurt him or cut into his chest and shoulders(he gets choked with a collar), he could change positions and sides of the seat during the eight hour drives, and all we had to do was unclip the harness from the strap attached to the seatbelt when we walked him. The fit was true to size for him. We also purchased two harnesses for the dachshunds. Because of their deep chests and long backs the small was too small and the medium was a bit problematic as well. Love This Harness; Dog Does, Too!!! (SEE UPDATE!!!)
Love, love, love this harness; my dog does, too! Use it on my 85-90 pound German Shepherd for riding in the backseat of the truck. It's the ONLY one we've ever found that fits well. It's pretty comfy for him, too. The only one he doesn't seem to mind wearing and no rub marks, pulled fur, etc. It's fully adjustable, has sturdy metal hardware and fabric construction/stitching with generous, soft padding and FITS! Can use it for walking, if desired. The sturdiest, most comfortable and best car harness we've found. We do not use the included seat belt strap, which was MUCH too short. We purchased a vehicle/dog zip line and use that instead (which can also be used as a leash). Works great! Don't know what we did without this! UPDATE: PRODUCT TOTALLY REDESIGNED!!! DON'T BUY!!! TERRIBLE!!! Had this rated 4 star, now 1 star is too many. Purchased a new harness in a different size for my new dog and even though picture and description is still the old style, product is not...
GREAT car harness
I bought this when my puppy was 15 pounds. She's now over 20 pounds, and the small size still fits. I will definitely upgrade to the medium size when necessary. I tried 3 other car restraints on my dog before finding this one. I think both the dog and I love this product. It's easy to put on, easy to install, and easy to wear for her. I strap it to the shoulder belt in the back/middle seat so she has a great view of the entire car. She can move around freely, but cannot jump up to the front seat. Very good value!
