Great seat protector, attractive and functional.
We have a subaru outback and the seat protector does pretty well covering the width of the back bench seat. We kept the microfiber side down to make it less slippery on the seat and because the waterproof side is good for travel messes on our long-roadtrip. The zipper is great because we had one seat down in the back (trunk was very full.) The straps hook nicely around front and rear seats and all in all this is a great piece. We even had to wash it once and it came out like new, and dried in no time! I give in 4 instead of 5 stars because it does kind of slip around a lot and the dogs were able to get on the seat to the sides of it.
Good materials, but poorly designed...
While it's constructed of good materials and the construction is sound, the design is poor. The first time my dog got into the back seat, the hammock slid sideways across the seat, exposing the first 15" or so of the end of the seat. There is no way to anchor the cover to the end of the seat to stop it from sliding from side to side. Also, the buckles are very cheap and don't hold firm when tugged on. If that were the only problem, I'd probably just put a pin in them to hold them snug.
I have a Toyota Camry, and it was also a bit short across the length of the seat. They really should add about 6-10" to the length to allow it to more thoroughly cover the ends of the seat (in addition to putting straps on the end to secure it).
The bottom line is, it doesn't accomplish its primary task, i.e. protecting the seat from dirt, etc., so I'm going to return it immediately.
It's too bad, as it's an attractive design and the material itself seems durable.
Works well
2012 Camry and 92 lb German Shep. I like this product because it completely covers the back seat, it is fast and easy to throw in the car to protect my leather seats and best of all it hangs on to all the hair that she sheds. When I take it out, I just shake really hard a few times and throw it in the trunk for next time.
