PoochieBells, the Original and Trusted Name in Dog Potty Training Doorbells, Classic Bone Appetite Brown Paw Print Bone Pattern Design

PoochieBell
This door bell for dogs is AMAZING! It really does work!!! I put it on the sliding door handle and every time we opened the door to let the dogs out, we rang the bell so they heard it. Within days they would ring the bell to be let out. My dogs are not the most well trained dogs (far from it, really) but they got the door bell thing down. I'm giving it 4 stars because the ringing is not as "sharp" (for lack of a more descriptive word) than the generic brand that I had prior to this. Still works though, and much cuter than others out there.
Perfect for small dogs to reach any door!
If you are thinking of teaching your dog (or new puppy) to ring a bell to go outside, these are a must have. These easily hang from any door and are reachable by any size dog - our puppies were only 3 lbs when we started training them (now 10 lbs), and they were able to nose / paw at them to signal that they wanted to go outside. In fact, they like using it to signal the water bowl is empty, that they are hungry, that there is a bird outside that they want to bark at - it is a pretty neat communication tool!

You can look it up on youtube as to how to teach a dog to ring a bell - it just takes some patience. You hold the bells in front of them, tell them bell, and wait for them to bonk it, whatever method they prefer. The first bonk is the hardest - once they do it, you give them a treat, and then they will definitely repeat it. You keep treating them, and eventually they understand "bell" = ringing the bell = yummy treats. Then step 2 is hanging it on the door, and...

Great product; fast and easy shipping as usual from Amazon. It took about 3-4 weeks for my puppy to begin using the bells consistently when he had to potty- he now regularly notifies us when he has to "go". Just make sure NOT to let your dog play or do anything else when he/she uses the bells so you're not training your dog to mess with you every time he wants to go play ball. Great training tool in my opinion.
