Petsafe HDT11-11048 Big Dog Remote Trainer

This gave me a new dog
I am the owner of a 1 year old St. Bernard/ Rottweiler mix, He currently is larger than most fully grown dogs, but he has the heart (and mentality) of a puppy. When we come home he is so excited to see us that he wants to jump right up and kiss us. This might be bearable in a smaller dog, but a 150 lb. puppy can really hurt somebody. I bought this collar after trying 2 other collars of different brands and I should have never wasted my time or money on those "others". This collar is so effective that just the warning sound stops my dog in his tracks. He has settled down so much! This collar allows us to enjoy our time with our dog instead of constantly reprimanding him.
Really worked!
At first I always thought these kind of collars were cruel... then we got a Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff). These dogs are very intelligent... but very bull-headed. We tried everything with him...positive reinforcement training.... clicker....obedience classes...we tried it all. When people would come visit he would go crazy jumping all over them...and bouncing off the furniture like a crack head. We have a 155 gallon bow front fish tank that he almost crashed into. Now it was a safety issue. As a last resort we got this and it has worked wonders. Most of the time we only have to "tone" him and he corrects himself right away...though we do "shock" if he is doing something really bad that we don't want him to so again (chewing on the furniture). People that come over now say he is a totally different dog. This devise has helped us communicate with him. The key is when you use it you PRAISE them to high heaven when they correct.... this is what makes it truly successful...
dog collar....
Bought this for a dog that likes to bark at EVERYTHING!!!! All we had to do was put this on her once and just press the button for the warning beep and she stopped the barking!! Just for that, I would recommend this to someone else having the same issue!! So far, very happy!! :)
