Good for spoiled dogs
The pet sling carrier is constructed very well. The fabric is so cute and reversable. It has a good deep "pouch" that easily holds my chihuahua. I do find that the strap is a bit too long. My dog is actually sitting below my hip bone. I think this can be fixed by stitching a tuck in the strap.
One thing I am worried about is my dog jumping out of the sling. There is a small leash type thingy included but I'm not sure of its purpose. If you hook the strap to your dog's collar and the dog jumps out, it would hang the animal. I would think this sling is good for an older and settled pet. One that is more interested in being carried around.
pet sling
oh my gosh. this is actually my *third* pet carrier...the last one was fairly good (outward bound pet sling) but SOME little doggie has a thing for the webbing texture, and chewed partway through the strap. (along with several leashes...)
this one, however, is over-the-top nice. it's deep enough so my 6.5 pound poodle cannot jump out. the construction of it means there isn't an elasticized top edge for her to lean on and choke herself (which happened on a regular basis with the outward bound pet sling). she's very relaxed in the sling, and so rides along a lot more comfortably, which makes both of us happy.
shadow is my diabetic alert service dog, so she goes everywhere with me. and while 6.5 pounds isn't *that* heavy, it gets heavy in a big hurry when i'm carrying her around! the way the sling is made, the strap spreads the weight further along the shoulder than it had been with other bags, so it doesnt dig into my neck. and while other reviews talk...
Can't live without it
I have a 5 lb dog that just has to be either in my arms or on my lap, so when I need two hands to cook with, this was the perfect solution.
It's a little too long for my 5 foot frame, so I just pinned up the strap and it fits perfectly. My dog absolutely loves the sling and so do I.
